Do You Know What Your Spiritual Gifts Are? The spiritual gifts team is currently receiving "Servant Profile" forms to update or add tot he Spiritual Gifts database. The purpose and mission of the Servant Profile is to help members of the congregation to know where their gifts can be best utilized in the various ministries of the church. Fill out a profile and place it in the gift boxes in both commons areas (upstairs and downstairs) or in the hallway of the sanctuary. If you are not sure what your spiritual gifts are, and would like to learn more, fill out the Servant Profile stating your interest in wanting to learn more about it.
Blessing Buckets - You can fill a 5-gallon bucket with essential items that are used by individuals everyday, and help to enrich lives and become a small token of God's love. God Pit Crew, along with the FBC Youth, wants to give you an opportunity to help transform a person's life through a Blessing Bucket. See the table near the Sanctuary.
Men’s Breakfast – Saturday, March 8th from 7:45 to 9:00AM. Ted Tussey, the Facilities & Outreach Minister at Cool Spring Baptist Church in Mechanicsville will join us on Saturday, March 8th to speak on “Sharing Your Faith”. This will be a very timely and inspirational topic as we attempt to take the love of Christ beyond the walls and grounds of First Baptist. Breakfast contribution is $3. To get a head count, please sign-up at the front desk, or call the church office to RSVP. Please join us and bring a guest!!
ISI Men's Conference – Saturday, March 22nd. Cost is $25 which includes lunch. Call the church office to sign up!
Sunday School Classes to Meet in the Sanctuary on March 9th - Check in to your individual Sunday School class first for a head count, then head to the Sanctuary for the Q & A on the Leadership recommendations. The church will vote on the Leadership recommendations at both services on Sunday, March 16th.
Christmas in August - The committee for Christmas in August is lookiing for volunteers to help this year. We are looking to make it bigger than ever! Please call Debbie Haley at 397-5732 if you are interested in helping.
Inclement Weather Policy – If Hanover County schools are closed for inclement weather, there will be no activities at church. Watch TV channel 6 and 8 for closings, or check here on our website.
Operation Christmas Child – OK FBC members, it's that time of the year again. Start collecting items for the shoeboxes! It's the perfect time, right after Valentine's Day, when things are on sale. We are in need of everything. Look for Debbie's shoebox table
Prayer Room - As we step into 2014, let each of us examine ourselves and be thankful for opportunities that will challenge us to expand our faith. I ask you to consider being a prayer warrior in the church’s Prayer Room for one worship service of your choice. Let’s all step out of our comfort zone and grow together in faith.

CD's for Sale – The OK Chorale still has a limited number of CD's for sale – one of Christmas music, the other is hymns and patriotic music. If you would like to purchase one, you may contact Donna Coburn at (804) 399-4305. The cost is $10 each, and checks should be made payable to First Baptist Church. We appreciate your suppport.
Corporate Prayer - Acts 2:42 says the early church came together on a regular basis to learn doctrine of the apostles, break bread together and to prayer together as a church. Please join in Thompson Hall (except for December 15th in Choir Room) for a time of Corporate Prayer at 9:30 AM Sunday mornings. "Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in their midst" – Matthew 18:20. What better time is there to talk to God together? Transportation Ministry – As a ministry of FBC, we have drivers who are willing to drive people to doctor's visits or church functions. If you need a ride, please call the church office a couple of days ahead of time and we will do our best to match you with an available driver.
